My name is Gordana Gehlhausen and I am originally from former
Yugoslavia. I grew up in a small Serbian Village in Bosnia and I knew
growing up that there was so much more to life than raising corn and
potatoes. I was always very creative and managed to dress completely
different from everyone else. I knitted my first sweater when I was
seven years old. However, to fully achieve my goal of designing required
me to take drastic steps and I did so when I left home at the age of 18
and moved to the Croatian coast. From there I found my way farther west
and ended up in Germany for my college education. Life took more
unexpected turns as I moved to the United States and settled in Atlanta,
Georgia. It was there that I started to fine-tune my designing skills by
creating a children line. From there I moved to Charleston, SC where I
opened my first GOGA boutique. I have been a boutique owner now for the
past twelve years and have recently opened my newest shops in downtown
San Diego and Santa Monica. I have also been extremely fortunate to have
been one of the contestants on the sixth season of Project Runway and
Project Runway All-Stars.
